We are thrilled to announce that Third I Rex will be supporting the French colossus MUDBATH for the release of the band's new masterpiece "Brine Pool"!
Following their last acclaimed LP "Corrado Zeller", the Avignon-based combo has taken just the right amount of time, to prepare one of the most incredible post-metal, sludge fueled, doom oriented album of the year thus far.
An incredible journey which takes all of the aforementioned sub-genres to combine them in a unique mix and crush the listener through layers of emotions and madness!
In revealing important info about the new work, the band has spoken as follows:
"Two years after the crushing "Corrado Zeller", we refined our brand of devastation with "Brine Pool", our second album. The harsh sludge roots of the band and thunderous doom are slashed into with onslaughts of black metal and treacherous ambient susurrations.
The album has been recorded and mixed by Mathieu "Mouffi" Croux (Verdun, Sofy Major...) and mastered by Collin Jordan (Bongripper, Cough, Xiu Xiu...).
The record was designed as a think piece, the deafening contours of which draw a vivid portrait of our idle surroundings."
The album will be released in both hard copy (GPS Prod, Grains of Sand Records, Saka Čost, Troffea Records) and CD (Grains of Sand Records, Saka Čost, Third I Rex).
The album, out on May the 2nd, will be composed by six tracks:
1. Burn Brighter / 2. End Up Cold / 3. Seventh Circle / 4. Zone Theory / 5. Rejuvenate / 6. Fire
A tour will follow during the the end of May in support to the new release!
